I took the kids shopping for the wife today in Stillwater and it was dead. There was no waiting to check out at Walmart, which is almost unheard of on normal days! It was kind of eye opening, I am hoping everyone got what they wanted during the early sales and it's not the reality of our economic times.

Can't speak for Stillwater, but at least one Wal-Mart in OKC would've gotten a fine from the Fire Marshal, I bet! We were packed in like sardines.

I was in line at H&H at 9:00 this morning for the Speer manual and some 20% off bullets that I needed anyway. There may have been close to a hundred folks in line. Very polite crowd (an armed society is a polite society). Met three first time gun buyers.

Then I went to the Ace Westlake store at 23rd and Rockwell for a cool (sorry) little indoor/outdoor thermometer. Wireless, and ten bucks. Then I went home. CB

Um...I was charged shipping and sales tax this morning when I ordered a Black Friday item from Target.com. There is always a catch to not actually going.

If a business has a physical location within your state, they must charge sale tax. Its up to them to charge shipping.

If you order from Newegg, Buy.com, and some amazon partners you wont pay tax, and if you get amazon prime (free for students) you get free two day shipping on most items.

I just ordered 2 HDMI cables and some misc supplies for a total of $10 shipped @ 2day for free w/ no tax.
