I do most of my shopping as "god" intended, in front of my PC with a beer. When coming back from my parents tonight we passed by both Best Buys, and you can see the line forming from the highway. *******.
I would go postal around the screaming hoards that do this.

Years of working retail ruined any chance of that for me. People running over themselves trying to get to some "once in a lifetime" special as if they were racing to the last cold beer on the planet. Forget it.

There ain't enough money or "big ole boys" to get me to play in that lemming stampede.
My wife has lost her mind and is headed out now. In her defense, she is pregnant.
Never did it before last year, but got some deals at Ace last year and that was cool, I got 3 Stanley steel tapes for $5 & a set of 3 vise grips for $8 so I checked the ads out this year. This year we did the mindnight sale at Walmart, got some $1.98 DVDs and a couple $10 DS games for nieces & nephews - people were actually really cool with one another. Had some folks that were perfect strangers work with me to make sure we all got the movies we wanted: I grabbed a few they wanted, they grabbed a few for me, we waded out into the aisle and traded em up. Online is still more my style though, got a pretty good deal on a set of Dewalt drill bits last night. I don't mind showing up 15 minutes early to get some cheap movies, but that business of lining up a day early or standing in line at Walmart for 13 hours to save $200 on a TV.... I don't do that.
