I always love going in there, if only to talk to the folks that run it. I got a good deal on a FAL lower, and you can generally find bulk ammo for decent prices. I have never come out of Brigadoon's feeling like I overpaid or wasted money.
They are closed sunday's and monday's, right across the street from Del City High School, Mark is a really good guy, he always had good quality guns at honest prices. his ammo is still the cheapest around locally.
I bought my first AR-15 from him, and when I got it, I didn't know anything about them, this was about 5 years ago, he had a Colt on his shelf for $1150, I was gonna buy that one, only because I knew Colt was a good brand. He told me that he would sell it to me, but said his house built AR's, would perform just as good. and they cost about half as much. So I ended up buying one of his house built.
I really liked that fact that he was honest enough to tell me that there is no need to give him $1200 for a rifle that will do the same thing that the $600 rifle will.
Was looking for a Pistol lower and was sold a rifle lower with the salesman telling me
"no problem just contact Superior and have them change the paperwork to make it a pistol before you but it together"
To save people the trouble I would just like to say IMHO do not buy a pistol lower unless it is engraved with the words PISTOL on it.
I am in no way saying this happens all the time and it might have just been this time but I drove from Warr Acres to buy a dang pistol lower and they wouldnt even take it back after I purchased it.
All those that want to gripe at me about saying this just ask your' selves this.
Do you like being lied to ?
