If you're going to post it, names and details required or why bother?
Doesn’t necessarily have to directly name the individual in my opinion, depending on the circumstances obviously. But at least give us some info to go on! He’s being so vague I’d take him for a politician.. hehe

Simply this, purchased a rifle that the seller had never fired after taking it in on a trade. The action was very stiff but figured probably just dirty. Long story short rifle will not cycle even after cleaning and I will not pass it on to anyone else in this condition. Personally in this situation I would simply have taken the rifle back. I probably should have simply not made the purchase. I won’t drag people through the mud because I don’t think it was intentional. But after contacting the seller there was no mention of canceling the deal.

You’ve told all of us how you feel. Did you tell the seller as well?

I have bought guns like that [as is - with no experience or guarantee] on several occasions - some worked out well and some not so well - some took more work than others but I would never expect anyone to take one back unless they assured me of the working condition

I only ever sold one gun that I knew didn’t function. I had bought a cute, little Colt in .25acp. When I got it, the weapon wouldn’t feed rounds. So, took it to a smith that could look it over and he deemed it a ‘total loss’ as someone had dremeled the feed ramp and chamber for which he said “cannot reasonably be repaired”.
I took the weapon to the next gun show in Houston and promptly sold it to a wannabe looking gangster. Figured I probably saved someone’s life and hopefully turned a person away from buying guns at a gun show. So, I looked at it like a good, moral move. Had it been a dealer or regular gun guy I would’ve disclosed. Yes, book/cover but it fit, so I rolled with it.
