Here's a quick comparison...

G27

10 rounds compared to 5
Uses same ammo and mags as sidearm
Same manual of arms as sidearm
Better accuracy than J frame
Tougher, more rust-resistant finish

442-2

Absolutely, dead nuts reliability
Carries in pocket a little better
Feels better in the hand

Sounds like great reasoning on why you need both.

Then trade your G22 for the G27, and keep the J-frame. See its that simple.

Your Definitely Crazy! :screwy:
I thought about conslidating to one caliber but was afraid that after I did that I would only be able to find ammo in a caliber I didn't have. Thats why I have a few of each.

This.
That's why I currently have pistols in 17, 22, 25, 32, 380, 9, 40, 45, 50ae, 500. I compromised with my wife and got rid of my 38, 357, 44. I feel your pain thinking about trading your j frame. Better idea, keep it and then get your g27. :thumbup3:

Can't. The 2nd gen Glock 22 is a dept issue. It belongs to the state. I tote the 3rd gen Glock 22 (it's mine :D) on my transports, at my other PT job and while off duty (which rarely happens). :rolleyes2 Can you imagine what kind of **** I would be in if I popped a convict on a transport with the state's weapon while moonlighting? :yikes2:

I don't have that many.
Mine are 22, 380, 38, 357, 9, 40, 44, 45, 500.
My wife doesn't like semi autos. She shoots the 38 and 357.
