So what you are saying is it was in Chris Rock's line of duty and he had to take the shot and Jada learning to accept the inevitable, with a laugh opens the doors for jokes about her struggle? I don't agree with either point but I can see how some might think that way, I am hesitant to jump on someones misery even if they laugh at it as a way to cope.

I'm still happy he slapped him, I think it was a calculated move on his part to use his open hand instead of clocking him with a closed fist. I immediately felt like it was staged but after watching it a few times I could be convinced either way. I hope they have already made up and move on quickly from this, I've seen friends so tight smack each other plenty of times and they kept on chugging along so I know its possible.

“If the party desires a police report at a later date, LAPD will be available to complete an investigative report,” the department said after the incident during the live broadcast of the Academy Awards ceremony.

Somebody tell me what is there to investigate? They have it on video. Arrest the SOB and let the justice system take over. That way the L.A.P.D. isn't sullied because they did their job.

It’s not like LAPD can just go freelancing on this. If Chris Rock doesn’t choose to press charges, there’s not a lot they can do.
