I think we would all be better off if we didn't feed spectacles like this. It is about the same as my wife watching Entertainment Tonight or whatever. Putting any energy into keeping up with the personal lives or side show antics by any celebrity makes no sense to me at all.

I thoroughly enjoy watching movies, listening to music, going to concerts, etc. and outside of not supporting someone that preys on other people, I couldn't care less about what happens in their personal life. I don't care about their political leanings unless I am in a situation to actually discuss with them why they believe what they believe. I don't care if their marriage is healthy or not.

My life takes plenty of effort and time to make sure my wife, kids, parents, brother, in laws, and a few close friends are happy, healthy, and not in need of help. What little bit I have left over after that goes to me. Obviously, the seconds it takes to hold a door for someone, say good morning, or help them load something in a parking lot if they are older or struggling doesnt count. Plus that stuff makes me feel better when I get to do it anyway, so it is kind of part of the time for me.

So his wife was sleeping with a guy young enough to be her son that will knows. The guy makes a rap song about it. They go on tv to discuss it and man, you can see how crushed he is and watch his mental health deteriorate. He’s been thoroughly emasculated. I don’t think violence over jokes is reasonable in any way. When you watch his apology it’s clear that he is in bad shape and will feel shame and regret for that loss of control for years to come.

Rat **** bat **** dirty old ****, sixty nine a$$holes tied in a knot…I’m never offended and I love watching sports and movies while cleaning my guns, it’s who I am.

As for Will Smith and his wife, that’s their business and no one else’s. Chris Rock got slapped and that will set the stage for years of great comedy being “edgy” for a reason. A person laughing at a joke that is risqué needs to see that sometimes it is indeed too risqué.

Last night was a perfect example.

I think you're missing something. In today's world everyone gets hella upset over words. A comedian told a joke about another at least former comedian's wife. That joke wasn't that bad. Nobody is even somewhat mentally tough anymore. Pins and needles will kill comedy...... notice you have VERY few that are on Carlin's caliber now?

Brilliant! This is the way to save the Oscars plummeting ratings. Have Jerry Springer host them next year. Bring all of the nominees up on the stage and then Jerry announces the winner and let the donnybrook begin. The loosers can flip off and cuss the Academy, throw chairs at each other, yank out each others weaves while security rushes in and meagerly tries to stop the violence. The ratings will go through the roof!

Funny thing is..... Will Smith made MILLIONS on being a comedian.

When was Will Smith a comedian? He did a lot of acting in comedies, but did he ever do standup?

As for Will Smith and his wife, that’s their business and no one else’s.

Except they put it out there for the whole world to see . . . so of course it's going to be discussed.

I've just seen clips, but last night's joke wasn't any more or any less "edgy" than what has been said before. They only thing that would've made it better is if Ricky Gervais would've been the one to make the joke. But Chris, Will and Jada apparently have history and that played a role in what happened.

I thought it was scripted at first. I think Chris rock didn’t know what was going on and thought Will was playing it up for the crowd or whisper something.
