I found references to 10,000... not 100,000. And those aren't actually there. There is a "trickle" beginning, but nothing closeto 100,000 as of now. Report is 2 families thus far.
As I said, I'm open to real sources, not a single photograph on Twitter with no identification of where it came from, no verification and no landmarks to show it was even taken on US soil, nor a date. Nothing in that photo indicates it has anything to do with Syrians in New Orleans. I see the same vague picture and the same story (word for word) that says they are beginning to arrive, nothing on how many are actually officially here, not even an eyewitness who will stand up and say they have worked to process thousands, have seen them, or anything of the sort.

Taking in these refugees -who did not initially seek entry into the West for other reasons - is a mistake. If Europe and the US wish to take humanitarian steps, we should establish a swath of Syria as a "safe zone" and assist the Syrian refugees to police that and guard that themselves.

I agree... everyone keeps saying we're not the World Police, what are we doing intervening and such- and yet here we (and other developed countries) just welcoming in tens or hundreds of thousands (or millions by the time it's all said and done??) of refugees? These are people who couldn't or wouldn't do what was needed to stabilize and fix their own countries, so we just let them in without question here? I've got relatives who've been waiting YEARS for immigration to the US legally, productive citizens who WANT to assimilate and be part of the American culture and American dream.

We gain nothing
, but Obama and company do. Obama knows the only way to "fundamentally transform" this country is by diluting the culture through illegal immigration because the illegals will not all be assimilated to our culture - simply because they are not legally here. Controlled legal immigration preserves the existing culture by providing for the assimilation process. I'm not sure if the Syrian refugees will be required to assimilate or not. His goal is to force the US into socialism by destroying American culture - specifically the "gun culture" by watering down the existing culture with immigrants from countries who are used to and accept/expect a socialist/autocratic government style and are accustomed to strict gun laws. He has little interest in legal immigration and therefore your relatives wait honorably, but will be supplanted by the illegals who will eventually get amnesty and legal status.
