What smoker are you using Mark? My old masterbuilt propane took a dump. I thought it was the regulator but I switched it out and that didn’t get it. I had the big one, could get 10 slabs in it. I’m looking to downsize to a smaller ‘set it and forget it’ electric pellet unit.
Same question for everyone. I’d like to keep it around $500.

It's a home made one --- 3 drawer filing cabinet found on 'big trash day'! Added a rack in the top drawer to hold the meat and a stainless steel colander in the bottom drawer to hold the lump charcoal and wood chips. Painted black with heat paint and installed a temp gauge in the top drawer. I think there is around $10 invested in the unit.

I use the smoker as part of my 'slowing down therapy' --- meaning that the smoking is my activity for this time period. Well, I may also drink a couple bottles of brew. Multi-tasking at it's finest!

Several years back I got the wife a CookShak electric smoker. This version you add wood chips and forget about it. Very convenient they used to be made in Ponca City. You won’t be disappointed.

Check out the Masterbuilt 560. If you really want only pellets then look at the camp chef dlx, they have more features than say a traeger.
