Having to make MANY trips to OU Med, taking Wif for treatment, over the past 2 years. The highlight of our trips was stopping in BPS to clear our thoughts, before the drive home.

The last 6 or so trips, we stopped once for a potty break. Had no desire to go in, otherwise.

April Wannemacher and a visit to Scheel is my list, hope they don't disappoint.

Academy on South Walker has Buck 110s. I seen them today, my wife just had to go there today. We usually don’t do any City on a weekend day. I walked in and headed straight to the Guns and ****, made a quick pass by and out to the truck with my Dog. He calms me down and we sit and chill, wife shops.
Cool, I have two pups I like to sit with, I find watching them watching every thing going on is funny. I do encourage them to look at stuff too though. They can spot Grandma for a mile away, that really excites them.

Too expensive for me to shop there.

I heard this maybe true but when Bass Pro decided to build their first store in OKC back in the day, they received a huge tax break and basically the land to build on was basically free.
Everything in downtown OKC was underhandedly built on taxpayer money and MAPS,
It is no wonder legitimate free enterprise businesses avoid OKC.

The first Bass Pro was on May north of Wilshire about two blocks
Bass Pro revoked his franchise when they opened the location in Bricktown.

We have a Scheels now. No reason to shop in a BP any more.
Just don't go on the weekend.

I am from the north years ago and had scheels all the time where I lived. Loved them, and was excited to see Scheels come to Tulsa. I have been there once to the new one in Tulsa.
If you like BP at all, my opinion, Scheels will be your new destination. If they were side by side i would never go to BP nor need to.
Scheels is Bass pro on steroids and with customer service.
My opinion and I hope both stores continue to succeed.
