Like I said earlier, $60 lunch is becoming common. View attachment 531666
Seeing now that's in the airport, I'm not shocked at all. $12 beer is norm. Wife was returning from CO yesterday and hungry at DIA waiting on flight. Spent $4 for a power bar. she was texting me about where i was at with all my snacks in the carryon!

We will be in airports the rest of the day, so eating cheap is not an option.

Meh that's normal airport pricing for sure .. I was more shocked by the fact I went to Krab Kingz and that is a restaurant which has embraced the "service fee" . That is not a tip for the staff mind you it's just an added charge the restaurant is tacking on to your bill . The food was decent but if you think I am paying you additional 3.5% above the menu price and then leaving tips for your staff you've another thing coming.

What is hamburger meat currently? We eat ground venison at home. It’s been years since buying any at the store.
Wow! Just looked. Almost $7 a lb for 80/20 ground beef at wallyworld.
Chuck roast is $5.50 a lb. Seems like a home grinder and some chuck would be the way to go.
$4.28 per lb

In your momma’s bedroom.
Wife still works, they pay her too much to quit and she works from home in her pajamas most days. She takes care of her mother one day a weekend. The other day I take her out for adventures. We always try to check out local restaurants that look good.

This Sunday we ended up down by Lake Murray. We saw several signs that said ‘Good Food at Lookout Kitchen’. We followed them over to the state lodge and thought why not check it out. They’re in the restaurant that was built for the Swadleys BBQ fiasco. Anyway we thought it’d be at least pretty good at the state lodge. Probably should have checked the reviews beforehand. The reviews were either real high or low to real low. I guess we caught it on a low day as our experience was it was nasty.

Back on subject. I don’t mind spending extra on the days I take my wife out. But that place may have changed my mind. I guess it’s a gamble everywhere out there.
