ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATT ORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

Keelty -- thanks for the walk down memory lane!! I used to have a book with actual transcripts. It was always good for a laugh!! :rotflmao:

In one particularly contenscious (sp??) case we got a letter from opposing counsel that stated at the end of a rather testy tirade "I am in the habit of filing frivolous lawsuits". Obviously he met he was NOT in the habit but the damage was done. None of the secretaries (and probably not the attorneys either) could talk to him on the phone after that without snickering everytime we heard his voice.

Hello all... Just got in after a fun day of cutting and clearing trees. Got way too many touching the roof of our house and now they are gone... I suggested the use of explosives, but was vetoed by the other half. Oh well. maybe next time.
