Heading to the White River for trout on Wednesday. We go twice a year and I'm not sure what's better - the fishing or just getting away...

My brother and his wife just came back from Lake Texoma a week early from a planned 2 week fishing trip. The water was cloudy and the fish were few and far between. They did catch some sand bass and stripers but said it was much slower than normal.

Hit the pond this evening near sunset and almost managed a limit in an hour.

I’ve spent 30 years or so fishing that river.
Every stretch below each dam takes different techniques.

I got out for a couple of hours yesterday morning and found 3 that were interested in a little yellow popper.
