Totally different day today. One small crappie and none of the dink bass would hit. Finally put a big bladed spinner and slow rolled it in the shallows. Ended up catching 5 in the 2 pound range. I had tried just about everything in the box before the big spinner.
I`ve been staying close to home but I`m itching for run over to Tenkiller to see if the little Smallies are up in the shallows...

After filleting the sandbass and prepping the fillets, came out with 10 meals for the wife and I from that one fishing trip when bagging them up tonight.

I caught 6 slabs of Crappie (over 14 inches long) yesterday before this front came through. Caught them in the boat slips her on Grand at our lake house. Can't wait to fry them up.

Yes sir. We will probably fry them up tomorrow night. I will go back and try for some more as soon as this cold front breaks.
I caught these in about 12 foot of water under and around my boat.
I went fishing this evening after mushroom hunting today. I didn't take any pics of the fish as I was exhausted. Came home with a mixed bag of 22 sandbass, hybrid and walleye. It was a great day for fishing and gathering.

I went looking around the house. no shrooms but almost stepped on this guy. He’s been around here for years.
“It” was on the top strand of a 4.5’ barbed wire fence, with almost 2’ still on the ground, climbing into the cedar tree in the background. There was a bird nest up there and I suspect it wanted to check for an easy snack.
