It's good to see the Sun out again! I hit Haskell Lake again this morning poppin' for Sunnies in the grass beds! Not much for size but there`s plenty of them and they put up a decent fight on a fly rod...
My last three times to Hefner with my oldest son and nothing. Not a single bite. We've thrown spinner baits, minnow spins, buzz baits, and spinners. Nothing.
I don't usually have much luck at Hefner but some people do real well there.
Stopped by there for about 30 minutes today and got this little walleye from the bank.
We were coming back from dinner at Terra Miranda here on Grand and decided to throw out a line and troll a bit. 20 minutes later, we caught 9 and kept 5 for the wife and me.

Good old Bomber Fat Free Shad! One of our trolling faves. Try to one with the emerald green back. We find it nabs even more than the basic pearlescent white!
I’ll look for one and try it as well.
I was out working the weed beds again this morning, this time I was throwing a 2.5" Trout on a Gamakatsu Glo Bug size 10 hook. I caught several before my back said to quit, a few of `em were kind of chunky and put up a good fight

Saw this guy foraging near shore and tossed a swim bait in front of him. He took it and and then realized his mistake. Short fight but fun.
