Today. 1.5 mile run, 30 inc push, 20 dips, 7 pull, 10 dips, 10 push, 1.2 mile run, push, dip, pull, dips, push. (all with 20lbs in vest).

Time for a Saturday workout...

After some great Italian food last night(thanks nofear...).

Today is Super Cardio Day, have about 90 minutes of high intensity activities on tap, expect to burn about 1000-1100 calories.

Made it to 80 minutes, 1016 calories, max HR 159, avg HR 134. Not bad for a guy with O L D... :)

Sounds like the thread is serving it's purpose!

Warmup
Two minute jog
High knees
Butt kicks
Over unders
Arm circles

Workout

5 cycles of 3 minutes work, 1 minute rest

3 Power Cleans (only up to 95lbs on a bum shoulder)
5 Dumbbell presses (2 30lbs)
7 Slam balls (30lbs)

Keep working through the list, over and over. If the one minute rest interrupts your work cycle, you start the next work cycle where you left off.

This is supposed to be my off day eat what I want day but I kind of got carried away last night at this Italian restaurant celebrating our anniversary so I am looking for things to do today to burn up some of those carbs from last night. Cleaning leaves from gutters, leaves from driveways, checking fences, move a brush pile, clean some windows, etc. Cardio old skool.

with the OSU house slippers, should we dare ask how hard you hit the kids? Just kidding. Too soon?

A year ago this past nov. 9th i re-injured my lower back. Pain, uncontrollable spasms, muscle mass loss, the works. (previous L5-S1 fusion with success for five years before i was stupid and hurt myself again). I was depressed, never thought i'd ride a bike again (which was my sole activity and joy).

Well, with lots of PT and time i've worked my way into it again and realized the other day that i'm now 98.6 miles short of 3,000 miles for the year. I still have pain but i never thought i'd get back to this point (especially being able to ride a mountain bike again). It doesn't seem like much compared to the road, but i did 8.6 miles in 56 minutes today with a HR average of 146bpm. Two PRs and a second best time on three sections of trail.

My goal is 3,000 by Dec 31st and i am hopeful i can get it even with holiday travel
