I have an older 617 (bought used) -- 6 shot; My 617 came with Hogue grips and has a round butt, black on black sight.
Looks similar to my 686. I have HKS speed loaders for it!!!

686; 6 shot(My first new firearm; bought in 1988 for $320); has square butt; wood grips; red ramp on white outline sights.

Both are queens of my safe.
