Yeah, she and Bobby, Sr. need to move over and let the youngsters have a crack at it ... Well, I guess Bob, Sr. has decided to do just that ... now if he can just talk some sense into Linda ...

Yea it's definitely time for Bob Sr. But I got to give him some credit, considering his age, he's still fairly sharp. I can only hope to be as sharp when I'm that old and not slobbering all over myself....

Conservative != Republican
Liberal != Democrat

The south has always been full of Blue Dog Democrats. These are conservative leaning democrats. Usually older democrats or democrats with a strong faith background.

There are also liberal republicans, but you wont here much about them in the south. These are people who hold many conservative fiscal ideals, but tend to be more liberal on social matters.

So you can think of it this way: Liberal/Conservative can be applied to 2 areas, Fiscal and Social. The terms democrats and republicans are mainly seperated by their fiscal lean, democrats being fiscally liberal, republicans being fiscally conservative. Where you get the Liberal Republicans and Conservative Democrat is more of their Social outlook.

Now for either one of these ladies to call themselves conservative is an outright lie. One is a Lying Democrat, the other is a Lying Republican.

I think we should take a lesson from NV and have an entry call "None of the Above".

Been saying this for years. The party line candidates will always get donations from party wonks and special interests wanting something from their paid for politicians.

A None of the Above campaign would probably get plenty of donations from people who are acting as citizens, rather than narrowly defined individual groups.
