Shots fired at Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City

Shots were fired Friday afternoon at Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City
While trying to stop the shoplifters about 1:50 p.m., the security guard, who also is a police officer for the Oklahoma City Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, fired at two females suspected of taking jewelry from the department store, said Oklahoma City police Capt. Patrick Stewart.
The security guard fired more than one shot before the suspects drove from the mall, Stewart said.
It is unknown if either suspect was injured.
Officers were expected to view a surveillance video from Dillard's in hopes of identifying the suspects.
Business at the mall and inside Dillard's continued as normal. Some people had to wait to get to their cars while police looked for evidence at the scene.
An unidentified Dillard's employee said she did not see the shooting, but the incident caused a stir among co-workers.
"All I know is he shot through their back window," she said. "We don't know if they are alive or dead"
