Since Nixon the Presidency has never had the respect the office previously commanded. . A brilliant, complex, and evil man.
Those hippies so many love to hate were largely spawned in response to Nixon. And that questioning of authority that is so popular now was born, with a lot of pain and some American blood, at the same time. Contrary to what a young guy said to me recently, the Young Republicans didn't invent dissent . . .
