I just switched to Liberty Mutual and it cut my homeowners insurance nearly in half with the exact same coverage I had before.

What's up with State Farm not talking you because of a 2 year old hail claim? Is that standard procedure?

I was told by my Auto insurance agent that they won't take any new home owners with a claim less than 3 years old/36 months

I'd also recommend Liberty Mutual. They are the cheapest around for an HO5 style policy.

Liberty Mutual. Auto insurance is even cheaper with them too.

My father got interested in Liberty Mutual when a friend talked about them and he checked them out.

He now has all vehicles and 2 houses with them at higher amounts at about one half the premium.

Their rates are competitive to begin with but they also have 25% premium rebate.

Basically if you go 3 years without filing a claim, they cut you a check for 25% of the premiums you paid in year 1. Year 4 they pay year 2 premiums, etc. It was a pretty good deal, I had my car and house through them and got checks every April.

Seems a very good insurance company to me. Does every insurance company do this stuff? If not, thanks for sharing about American National. I'll definitely check their policy out.

We got the dreaded Farm Bureau letter for two of our houses. Sure, they offered to continue our primary home's insurance if we insured at least one car (At a ridiculous rate). I have USAA insurance on the third house and called them first to insure the others. USAA demands a "Contractor's Estimate". I called around and it wasn't worth the effort, so I called State Farm.

They were helpful and increased my coverage to reflect current replacement rates for less than I was paying with FB.
