THIS IS MY NEWEST UPDATE!!!!



I just wanted to update everyone who prayed with me and for Gods will to be done concerning my job situation.

I did not get the job that I posted about, and I will be completely transparent and open with everyone at first it really crushed me. But I began to just pray away all the negative feelings and thoughts going through my mind. Soon God began to reveal all that he has blessed my life with!

So I just kept plugging away and searching for the right door to open. I applied for many, many, new positions waited to see what God would open up. during all this time I had been also praying that God would open only one door and all the rest would close, so I would hopefully only have to interview for that one job.

WELL, I interviewed for an armed security position that was Monday-Friday from 8-5pm. If anyone knows this type of work, they know how difficult it is to find those kind of hours and days off. The best part of it all was when I showed up to the interview and talked to the supervisor and showed him all my experience and told him about my degree and everything else, he actually told me the job I was interviewing for was very easy, and great hours, but he said he thought my qaulifications and education and experience was too great to use me for such a mundane position. And of course that comment equated to me as "thanks for seeing us, but we won't need you". Well after kinda feeling dissapointed right at that moment he begins to tell me he actaully wants me for a position with him. Now the job would be a private school resource officer for Crossings Christian School. This campus is K-12 and has over 900 students, it is also part of Crossings Community Church, the MEGA church on the north side. This position would be a blessing because the hours are great and I would be able to off with my own kids when they are off.

Today I decided today to call the gentlemen I interviewed with to make sure he recieved my updated resume and contact information. He told me that it looked like I had a really good chance at the position, his boss was looking over everything now and he highly recommended me for the job. So I just want to thank everyone who has prayed with me over this and would appreciate your continued prayer and support for Gods will, no matter what door he opens for me next. Thanks to you all, I pray God blesses your faithfulness in coming into agreement and prayer with a fellow follower of his word.

Well Jeff hopefully you get the position. If not I have a place that I am about to start a armed position at, and the company is probably going to hire 1 or 2 more officers. If you are interested I probably get it for you, assuming that you have the proper creditionals. The job it at a grocery store out here where I live, the 2 of us that are doing it is me and my uncle, and we are good friends with the owner of the store, so I would put in a good word for you. It would not be mon-friday, but pay starts off at $12 hr. and it is a cake job

Thanks buddy I appreciate the offer but to be honest the job I have now is not bad and is very easy, with good benefits. The only reason I want something else is to be able to have all the time with my family that I used to have. I have learned over all these past years in college and chasing the dreams that I wanted that my true happiness will only come from serving God, and spending the most amount of time I can with the love of my life and my 2 girls! everything else (including my hobbies. There I said it) are a very distant third place to the humble heart I have to do Gods will and be with the amazing family he has givin me.

I really need to do the very thing you are doing Jeff. I am doing something I get paid pretty well doing but I am not happy. I usually work the 8-5 but the job is not me. I thought I could do an introvert type job when I am an extrovert.
