It just took me an hour and a half to put a new garbage disposal under the kitchen sink! According to everything I have read it should take about 30 minutes. In my defense…. It was my first. Ugh. Do I feel stupid.

It's probably faster than I could do it so IMO, you done good.

30 minutes for a plumber.... who has done it before. I take 30 minutes just looking at the box grumbling as to why I think l still need to be doing the crap !! I can afford a plumber but I am a dumb.... err cheap bastidge and refuse to relinquish the title LOL.
The last plumbers that were here commented on my 1970s high horsepower garbage disposal.
They want the job of replacing it because they want the disposal for a display. They said even 20 years ago they could have rebuilt it but not anymore. Parts have been gone off the shelves too long.

If you're done and it works, there's no leaks, and no blood, ya did good.
The last one I replaced, I made sure I got the exact model for the replacement. It was plug and play with no modifications needed.
