All I know is three in my family have Iphones and three have Android. The Android's have had to be replaced twice. And the Iphones are still going strong.

Apple created the smart phone craze, well, they perfected it. The past two releases have just been playing catch up to the android phones. Android has all the latest and greatest stuff. Apple cannot keep up due to the fact that they are the manufacturer of the hardware AND software. That is also their strong point. They take time and really polish everything. They may not have the latest tech, but what they do have works extremely well and looks beautiful. I am an android user because I do not like being Locke d down to apple software constraints.

This phone will sell very good, and people will continue to buy it as long as the hype is there. I am happy to have apple and android and windows phone to a lesser degree because it keeps everyone moving forward and creating new stuff.

Ditto experience here. Had android that had to be replaced every 6 months, still on my first iphone 10 months later. Had to restart the android once or twice a day to make it work, maybe once a week or less for the iphone. That being said I really wish they would have made the screen just .3" wider for the iphone5. Would make web browsing while vertical much more viable.

although you might as well be carrying a tablet that thing is just too large.

What? Not at all, the S3 is a great size. I have a phone the same size and it has no problems fitting in my pocket. Now I've heard women complain, but I'm sure as long as you don't wear women's jeans then you won't have issues with it.

I've used a lot of phones with varying screen sizes, and the Skyrocket was the first that really felt big enough to be useful. The S3 is even bigger.

The iPhone diehards at work are completely underwhelmed with the iPhone 5.

I'm an iphone guy. I am on my 3rd one after updating from the older versions. I have been waiting for a the new one for a while now but can honestly say I am not that impressed.

I am still going to by a new phone but for the first time in several years I am looking at another brand (galaxy s3).

I am also sick of having to "jailbreak" the phone and then play games with that crap just to get simple features like being able to attach files to emails.

The 3s looks like a good phone, I'm torn between that and an iPhone 5. Who know, the 3s might even get the latest version of Android sometime "later this year". I wish they provided the updates like apple does with ios.

I hope the newest Android runs better on the newer phones than it did on my Galaxy S. 2.0 sucked, 2.1 sucked slightly less, 2.2 fixed a bunch of stuff, 2.3 took it back to 2.0. It was the sole reason I traded it for an iPhone and couldn't be happier. I've had it around 4 months now and I've rebooted my phone maybe 3 times and I'm not sure it really needed it. My Galaxy needed it every single day. My iPhone will actually sync up with any computer I plug it into, and my new iMac works all the better, the OS'es work just seamless. And I think they (iPhone and Macs) actually may work with google better than android which was a welcome surprise.

I don't need alot, but I do want my stuff to actually work. Apple's stuff does. I'm sold on the hardware and software being matched to each other by the same company. Know why Windows stuff is so buggy? The hardware is a hodgepodge of chipsets and MS only does the software. When the chipsets get changed MS isn't able to keep up with all the different variations/combinations that are possible. Apple has control of all their stuff. Android is open source so all the apps come from any Tom, Dick and Harry out there. It's like a coin toss sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. I won't be going back to open source anything anytime soon.
