When I was on jury duty, they said they'd kick your ass and poo in your mouth if you even mentioned it.

Not those exact words, but I've read enough books to know that's what they meant.

The way I understood it, the jury can still do it, but it's not likely anyone will tell them they can. It looked like there are several higher court rulings upholding their right to nullify law.

True there is not a jury instruction on jury nullification and in fact you take an oath as a juror to uphold the law. The judge will also, tell the jury they are triers of fact.

If you think this is a sticky subject, try walking into court and telling the judge that you want to reserve your rights under UCC 1-308 and you will not enter into a contract with him.
