Just curious, am I the only one who doesn't want to shop with my cell phone?

I don't mean for this to sound like a rant, even though it probably will. It kind of bugs me, though, when people will only give you information about something through a text or cell phone picture to your cell phone.


For example, let's say you're coasting the classifieds, and you see a title that sparks your interest. You go to read it, and it's just a sentence or two about the item, and "If you're interested, PM me your number for pictures" or "Text ###-#### for more info".


So you want to sell something, and you're going to make a post about it, yet you're too lazy to round out the post, and you'll take pictures, but you won't include them in the post. What purpose does this serve other than to waste your own time and the time of others? If they weren't interested, they wouldn't have clicked on the post. . .


IIRC, you can send cell phone pics to photobucket, then publish them anywhere. If you typed a little, you can type a little more. . .


Maybe I'm just a nutjob, but I just don't use my cellphone for anything other than what it is, a phone. I have a bare minimum plan. I don't text people(although I still get charged when people text me, even after disabling it). I don't surf the web on it, or play games on it.


FWIW, I barely call/get called enough to have the thing. I have so many rollover minutes I could probably not pay my bill for a year and be fine, if the phone company thought the same lol. The only real reason I have it is because it's too convenient for emergencies.


So am I just , or are there, in fact, other people that feel this way? I'm not an old fart(no offense Old Fart), I just don't get it apparently.

I guess y'all must be right. I just thought that sales started at the description, and apparently they do.

I'm just irresponsible by living within my means and not requiring a $50-200 month phone bill to help "boost" the economy.

I like the hustle and bustle of the stores this time of year. I do it the old fashioned way. You're not alone. I like to see it, hold it, drool on it. I try to never use the cell for that stuff unless I am just not able to get out at all.

I have to have a landline......don't want my kids to have to search for my cell phone in the event of an emergency. I would also rather buy at a store than over the phone/internet.....have to handle the equipment before I buy.....
