Due to Covid and many other factors,,,
I hadn't been to my rifle/pistol club range in almost two years.
A friend joined the range so we went to the "New Members Orientation" together.
The only gun I took was my trusty Henry Acu-Bolt single shot rifle,,,
I had mounted a new scope on it and needed to get it dialed it in at 50 yards.
So I got out my el-cheapo rifle rest,,,
And took careful aim at a "Champion" sight-in target.
I swear to you all that all I had done was level the scope and set it for eye relief,,,
The first shot was the one that covered the exact center of the target,,,
I almost packed the rifle up after that first shot.
I've never had a scope be right on target without any adjustments,,,
I know this was just a huge fluke of luck,,,
But my Friend was dumbfounded.
The most difficult thing was to keep my calm,,,
And pretend that this was a normal thing.
