Ever since my "epiphany," I have been thinking about starting a PAC (Political Action Committee) that is designed to find and support politicians who share our commitment to preserving our 2nd Amendment rights and who support our 4th and 7th Amendment rights as well. Politicians who are not "bought and paid for" by either the State Chamber of Commerce or an equally odious liberal group.

What do you all think?

JB. I don't want to through cold water because I don't know what the administration can do and how fast they can do it? If this was a month ago or even two weeks I would of had high hopes, but I have to say with the current events I don't know just what we can do?
With that said I am willing to help in any way I can.
You being the attorney, please tell us what the administration is able to do and what time frames we are looking at? I am in the gun business and feel like I know ATF regs as well and probably better than any other FFL holder ( Not bragging but just have put in a lot of effort so they know I know )
I am always willing to do anything to protect our rights and that means giving advice to other FFL holders so they can avoid the ATF wrath, just professional courtesy as far as I look at it.

So JB where do we start?

Well, we have to get organized. I am hopeful that the anti-gun enthusiasm will die down and any legislation will be stalled. We can't count on that, and as far as the state level goes, we have pro-gun folks on the Federal level and mostly on the state level. We have to look to protect and expand our rights.

I do agree that because of the nature of the crime 6 & 7 year olds
, this will last longer than previous shootings have just due to the victims and
while we all know that that piece of plastic and steel had nothing to do with the
horrible event, it will be blamed for it!
When I am asked why someone "needs" an AR15 my response is always the
same and thats "why does someone need a Ferrarie,Corvette,Mercedes, etc. , they don't
need them but they are fun and they have the right to own them if they want, just like
the cars I mentioned, but unlike the cars the guns are a RIGHT (well the pursuit of
happiness could come into play as to the cars I guess;)

You are either incredibly naive and insensitive or a gun control troll. How anyone can tie the deaths of these kids to "it's my right to have fun" is beyond me.

Oh rick, yall GOPers have never understood how a community organizer works. Maybe JB can help yall but i doubt it.

I know exactly how Obama works, that is one reason I could never support him and know without a doubt that he is going to push for at the very least an AWB. More then likely a high tax on all firearms and ammo too.

Not sure what I can do to assist, but I am totally in.

Where does one find a politician that is really there for the right reasons, and not full of ****?

I think it a matter of just how much s@$t they are full of. In other words, we are gonna smell it no matter what. We just have to pick the one that burns our collective nose the least.

One thing to watch out for is the party machine. The machine doesn't consider the needs of the country or the state over the needs of the party. If they think your efforts will cause them to lose control or face, they will do every underhanded dirty trick in the book to marginalize and dismiss you.

That said, I support your efforts. I'm certainly not rich, but I'd make a donation and volunteer some time.
