Last time I checked, the going budget for a remotely effective lobbyist was in the $60K range.
Like some of the others, I really don't have either the time nor the finances to help much. However, I completely support the idea and would like to follow up a comment I made on your "epiphany" thread. Not only do we want to look at the candidates for local, state, and federal offices, the effort should also expand to trying to put logic, and not politics, into the state Democratic and Republican party organizations.

I would like to help; don't have a lot of time or money, but I could give a little of both.
Brilliant idea. The more we (we = concerned citizens who fully support the Constitution) get involved as a community in the political process, the better. It is our duty to work within the system as far as is possible to bring about the change we need.
