I've e-mailed Askins 3 times asking for her position on Illegal immigrants, open borders, & open carry....she has refused to respond. I say refused...because I know she got the e-mails....a good friend of mine is part of her campaign committee....and I know the questions were delivered.

I can't stand Askins, and I don't trust Fallin.

And Fallin is just a stooge to the mother party on the right. I want an independent rep in there. You know, the kind that thinks for themselves and listens to the people, not the party.

Unless the Legislature changes, it won't really matter.

The only reason open carry passed last go round was that we were 99% assured that Henry would veto it. Once he vetoed it, true colors could show.

askins in particular is pro-obama and trying real hard to portray herself as conservative (as if you say it enough times in a tv ad makes it so)

You know Askins is trying to make a move with the recent spate of Brad Henry and Barry Switzer endorsement ads to get the Yellow Dogs to the polls. Can't say as I blame her since the Switzer endorsement ads worked for Henry in his run against Largent eight years ago. Of course, Largent was a poor campaigner and relied on his backing from the GOP establishment.

Saw a political commercial on TV this morning.

Barry Switzer endorsed Askins.

I can't help but remember that Henry was supposed to get beat by Largent but lost and not a few Okies attributed that in no little part to Switzer's endorsement of Henry.

Okies and their football heroes. Got me a little worried here that we may wake up next Wednesday morning with an uber liberal tool of the socialist wing of the demonrat party as our new governor.
