Well in the end I guess I'm gonna hold my nose and vote for Fallin, but I'm damned unhappy about it. Last thing we need is yet another RINO that will fall all over herself to curry favor with the Chamber types. 
She says she supports open carry laws?

She was one of the very few state legislators to vote against concealed carry in OK before it became law...
I'm not shy and if a member of congress can call the president a liar in an open forum then by GOD I can shout out:
Jari Askins - YOU LIE!
Of course one cannot hold that against her. After all she is a politician and lying is a fundamental aspect of the job and part of the job description.

Sooner Poll commssioned a study regarding why Askins beat Edmundson in the Democratic primary. It's an interesting article and well worth the read.
However, what I found most interesting is the connection between Oklahoma Voters who strongly support Obama and Askins:

That's telling. There's little doubt that regardless of what the mainstream media wants us to believe that Obama is a died in the wool socialist. Those who support him at the very least lean toward being socialists themselves. The fact that in OK those dems who strongly support Obama were more likely to support Askins than the less left leaning Edmundson is a strong indication that whether Askins leans far to the left or not at least the leftist Oklahoma voter believes she does.
Just one more nail in her lefty coffin.

Good advice there.
As for me if Brogdon which was my first choice comes out and supports her then, to me that is good advice. We have had a Demo in office far to long and maybe a Rino could do a little better. The problem we have is we dont hold their feet to the fire sort of speaking. We vote and bang that is it. Maybe Fallin is what we need.
Though the second admiendment issues are important to me, I dont trust any of them as far as I can throw them.
I like what someone else said, just hold your nose and just vote.
I have never ever voted straight ticket in my life but it certainly looks like I may be voting strictly Republican this time. Problem is, like many of you it seems to me that we are looking at different sides of the same coin when it comes to our choices.
All I know is that I hear a lot about what goes on behind the scenes and I am not happy AT ALL with our Democratic constituents right now. I cannot imagine that Jari will be any better at being Gov. than she has been at being Lt. Gov.

I'm leaning toward Fallin. Back to the original post, I would have liked to heard Col.Grossmen's talk. His book "On Killing" should be required reading for everyone that has a concealed carry permit. I plug it in my SDA Classes.
