I'm pretty sure they could also get CareerTech cover most (if not all) of the costs associated with training people to work in their factory because it's a specialized manufacturing industry.

Indeed. I'm sure that if they moved into OK, whatever CareerTech district they were in would get the ball rolling on a specifically designed manufacturing program for Magpul.

Do we have the workforce? How many employees would they require? There are nearly 2 pages of help wanted ads in the paper out here in western Oklahoma. Out here they would also have to compete with oilfield pay to retain employees. It could be good work for college students, but shift work is tough for college students. When I was in college I was fortunate to be able to stay on the evening shift.

I have been exploiting the heck out of my political connections about this. I know I have gotten a few political people very interested.

I am also working on Beretta USA, but we will see on this one.

Broken Arrow lawmaker woos miffed Colorado arms*manufacturer

"We would gladly accept MagPul here in Oklahoma," Ritze said in a news release. "America is under attack by anti-gun activists who have no respect for our nation's inherent 2nd Amendment rights. This lack of respect penalizes law-abiding citizens as well as good companies like this one. We support MagPul in its efforts to move to a state that is friendlier to do business in and we hope they will move their operations to Oklahoma."

In his letter to Magpul owner Richard Fitzpatrick, Ritze says, "Our legislators will work endlessly to ensure Magpul's liability is limited and your business is thriving."

Ritze promises his own assistance "if you find Magpul needing to relocate to a Constitution-abiding state."

TX has higher property taxes

...as well as a larger and better educated labor pool. It also has a larger and more diverse manufacturing base which would make it easier for magpul to reacquire the 3rd party vendors it will need to bring online to continue making its products.

I stopped being a Texan almost 30 years ago <uh oh - just felt mom roll over in her grave> and as much as I love Oklahoma I'm still realistic so don't flame me, please.

From what I'm hearing, they've been in discussions with Wyoming for some time now. I think HMFIC is right. They'd also talked about Montana in their earlier facebook posts. I've never heard them mention any other state.

The good news is that this goofy Colorado legislation may be stalling. Apparently passage by the Senate is not as done a deal as people reckoned, but Biden has been making lots of phone calls with promises of cush federal jobs for the legislators who get thrown out in the next election.
