Every Mensa member (or self-proclaimed Mensa member) I've ever met has been a total jerk.

Censorship. Lol.

The Mensa guys I've met we're always condescending and would never admit they were wrong. Basically these guys were women.

I listen to KAFF-am outta Flagstaff on internet radio, when I'm playing on the computer.

Several months back is when I heard Todd Snider/Tillamook County Jail....very cool song. Especially when he's on youtube at Telluride, Colorado...one of my old hangouts....Sheridan Opera House.

"Gifted" programs for kids are such a load of crap, too. I was thrust into them immediately and hated every moment. I eventually stopped going because the kids were awful - exact copies of me only missing the anxiety and self-loathing that makes me tolerable as a human being. My parents were called in and it was a big scene and I basically told my mom I'd rather be in class with my friends who rode skateboards and burned stuff. Gifted programs in schools are the best example of the Dunning-Kruger Effect or more accurately the Downing Effect.

The "gifted" programs we had were for scholarship padding. Jocks and cheerleaders outnumbered geeks and nerds 5:1. Based on some of my peers in those groups, the bar was set really low by those rewarding the scholarships or the merit of the student's eligibility was based on the school's honor.

Or there might have been something in the local water supply. I mean, 1 in 4 students were in the program...

Anyway, I'm probably going to get around to taking the test. I keep having people tell me that I should. I don't need it, and its too social for my tastes, but maybe it will help me network a little better.

I'm sure "Mensa Member" will look real nice next to "first semester college dropout" and "3-flat high school graduate" on my resume.

What I really wish is that Oklahoma would let you take the bar exam without a freakin' degree. That'd get those folks that tell me I should have gone to law school off my back.

Ayn Rand was very intelligent and she had the world view of a 13-year-old and wrote books worse than Dave Barry's Guide to Life. #wordisbond

Really? Ever bother to read one of her books? All of the pages, not just looking for pictures?

Read Atlas Shrugged and tell me that she didnt have some amazing foresight into what the progressive agenda can do to this country, especially with the benefit of 70 years of hindsight.
