Yep. I was riding down 44 1 day and OHP Trooper OHP097 was steering with his knees while holding a cell phone with both hands. This was after the state law was enacted due to a trooper getting killed by a texting driver. They are supposedly having a campaign to focus on it this month. I remain skeptical that the law will ever be enforced much.
But he's highly trained and may think, do as I say, not as I do... ;)

I was driving on I-35 last night and was changing lanes the from far left to the middle lane. A motorcyclist, probably traveling at least 85-90 mph, shot out from between the car I had just passed in the middle lane and the car beside him in the far right lane. I was moving into the middle lane when he went by my right door, real close. Three more then came by, all of them weaving through traffic, passing between adjacent cars, etc., traveling very fast. The one that passed me, slowed down in front of me, and turned around and stared at me as if I were the idiot. I guess now I need to start looking for traffic that is lane splitting at 90 mph when I am changing lanes.
Nature's way of eliminating "stupid" will eventually prevail.

As nearly as I can tell, I am still alive and this morning I went for a ride on my 59th motorcycle. The first one was a 1959 Cushman that I bought, almost completely disassembled. It took me a little over 2 months to put it back together and get it running so I could ride it. That was around the same time I got my first gun; an over and under .410/.22. Since then(early 1961) none of my guns have shot me and none of my motorcycles have killed me. I know the rules for safe operation and I follow them.

When I was a kid, I wanted a Cushman Eagle but there was no way my folks would
allow it. Even after the Honda 50 made the scene, I still lusted for a Cushman.

If I were to guess, I'd say he had California plates. Lane sharing (motorcycles riding the lane dividers) is legal (or, at least, not illegal...yet) out there.
Correct. They even have a statute that says you have to be moving at least 10 MPH faster than the flow of traffic when you are doing it too. Pretty much just common sense to keep from being sandwiched. Out there it's the only thing that makes the gridlock almost bearable. CHP is who got the law passed as their CHIPS couldn't get to calls for service.

What about bicycles, and out new laws that allow tem to run stop signs, traffic lights, obstruct traffic, taking whole lanes on busy streets, and making them dedicated to bicycles ONLY, and at the same time bicycles have the right to OBSTRUCT TRAFFIC IN OUR designated lanes, etc? Do you think bicycle enthusiast get to write the laws in Oklahoma? A few years ago on a narrow two lane road north Of Sand Springs, 97 hwy I think, during one of the big bicycle events in Tulsa, they were having a race on this road. They had the OHP blocking BOTH lanes, fro several miles! I got behind this mess, and f after an hour or so, with traffic lned up for miles, I went around some cars, and got up to an OHP motorcycle, and ask him WHY WE THE PEOPLE THAT PAYED FOR THIS ROAD AND HIS SALERY WERE NOT ALLOW TO USE ONE SIDE OF IT? WHEN I GOT OUT OF JAIL, NOT REALLY,UT HE WASN'T PLEASED THAT I WOULD DARE SAY THAT!! Do you think we need to remind these poliicians and cops that in America WE CONCENT TO BEING GOVERNED, AND POLICED, FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD, AND THAT THEY ARE ONLY OUR EMPLOYEES?

Pretty sure it says can only be going a maximum of 10 mph faster than traffic being passed. Traffic moving at 20 means you can pass at 30 or less.
