Excellent choice for CC. I have and carry a model 638. I appreciate the ability to fire single action, if appropriate.

Love mine, also pocket carry in an Uncle Mikes pocket holster, does fine. Loaded up with +P's just for CCW or backup. Mine is the Ultra-light and it felt like security as a great backup.

Nice wheelie; very nice looking piece. How can anyone NOT appreciate the Model 38?

I didn't appreciate it when it was my first back-up gun as a police officer almost two decades ago.

Got it for $125.

I sold it a couple years later when as a new, broke officer when it was either the gun or the rent.

I now kinda wish I'd just gone homeless...........
