When I was in the Navy we had our own payday loan scheme on the ship; $5 for $7 on payday.
Times are tough for many people. We are still spending but most of that is on home improvements. Housing prices have definitely softened in our area. I know many people personally that are struggling for the basics.
Cost of living is up big time but lots of brand new cars/trucks on the streets. Everyone seems to have iPhones/Apple Watch.
I hear you! Im old and drive a pickup and car that are 20 an 18 years old not because im poor but because I refuse to live outside my means....well unless its a nice pre lock s&w revolver
