Curious, are the landowners in north central Oklahoma getting a ton of mineral lease or buy offers in the last few weeks? I'm literally getting buy offers on a daily basis, makes me think they found something big out this way.

Interesting, we've got wells going up all over Logan county, three of which are right up the road from me, the closest looks like a strong oil producer. We've gotten lease offers in the past on this property which we've had for four generations, but I can't remember ever seeing activity like this.

The lime oil has been around a long time and thought to be played out and dry. The use of newer drilling techniques (including fracting) have opened up whole new worlds of oil and gas production.

The US has enough energy to last for decades we just need to go get it.

Four days ago, you could see 12 rigs from one spot. They ran from just west of Jefferson to northwest of Deer Creek. That's only about a 12 mile stretch.

Those wells going up just increased your lease bonus. If you are getting offers and they are drilling around you, you got some leverage. If it were me I'd go for a 1/4 royalty 1st and foremost. I'd even put the lease bonus money up front on the table to get it...
