Lol that's how it ALWAYS goes around here. I was joking with the electrician that once he got the Generac hooked up I would probably NEVER hear it kick on because our power would never go out again. And I could have used that money for my outdoor kitchen. 🤐
You will hear it kick on for its weekly exercise. Mine is set for Saturday at noon. Is yours internet capable? Mine is but I chose not to hook it up. I figured it is right by the house, I know what is going on by the display. I do not need something else on my internet.

During the last t-storm we had this weekend, the power was tripping on and off and the Generac started but never kicked in.

I think it is but like you I don't need one more thing in my internet. Grumpy will probably want it on his phone. He likes that kind of stuff.

Our side of the street has us and 1 other house. Across the alley, has 2 houses and a church.

The only trees are my neighbors. We had power outages on a weekly basis.

One day, neighbors were gone, I was at the back, trimming low limbs obstructing my mowing. Tree crew came down alley, asked if they trim?
Trim hell? Cut that where I'm not losing power.
One of the guys told me, "that old lady tells us "no, you're cutting my shade."
It was a month before they noticed and we rarely lose power, now.
OEC crews were out trimming limbs and I ran into one of the crew I know. He said people bitch about them trimming their trees. I told him back home that if the power was lost due to trees, the owner got the repair bill from the power company. Soon I noticed them clearing under the lines and about 10 extra feet.
