Folks here is a wrap up of current okla gun/ ccw bills from the ok2a group.

Well, we’ve reached the mid-point. House Bills have gone to the Senate and visa versa. So, it’s time to give a status report on the voting record of our legislators and on the progress of our Legislative Agenda.

We will release a full scorecard later this week, but we can give you a preview. The following Representatives earned an A+ rating: Bennet, Cockroft, Derby, Hall, Inman, Johnson, Kern, Key, Newell, Proctor, Reynolds, Ritze, Russ, Terrill, and Wesselhoft. Fourteen Representatives received an F: Coody, Cox, DeWitt, Hoskin, Joyner, McDaniel (Jeannie), McPeak, Morgan, Pittman, Shelton, Shumate, Sullivan, Virgin, and Speaker Steele. From the Senate, the following received A+ ratings: Ellis, Russell, and Shortey.

Below is a list of the bills on our watch list for this session. If the bill was not passed from its chamber of origin, it is effectively dead for this year.

HB1647 (unlicensed open carry & lifetime concealed permit for veterans) - Discharge petition was successful. Passed the House 55-39. Will likely be assigned to the Senate Public Safety Committee. We will work to clean up the open carry language in this bill.

Well, at least Tibbs' is about to bump against her term limit in 2012 (pretty sure of that). Maybe in a few years we can get someone into her position that'll be reasonable, and not asinine.

nevermind, I think Tibbs is term limited now isn't she?

She's term limited but the election is in 2012 so the 2013 session will be the 1st session after she's gone. One can hope that this time around her constituents don't elect another RINO to represent them.
