GC just texted me and asked if I would go to it with him ... Because he knows how bad I hate going to the movies ... But ... he doesn't ask often, so ... I guess I'll pull my big girl panties and pay $50 to go to a theatre, buy over-priced popcorn and soda and sit amongst people I don't know and don't want to know, to see a movie that I'll be able to rent on Directv in about two months for $5.99 ...

BTW, if I haven't mentioned it before, I'm not really fond of going to movie theatres ...

Seriously?!?!?! Hmmmm ... I think the last time we went to a movie it was at Quail Springs Mall. $10 each to get in and then $20 for GC's popcorn and a couple of drinks (and I had a bottle of water) ... How in the hell he can eat that stuff is beyond me ... Especially since he's actually had good, homemade popcorn with REAL butter on it ...

Oh well ... we all have our vices ... One of his is going to the movie and spending way too much money for "the experience" ...

(He's gonna wring my neck for posting this!! I'm probably gonna have to put out or something when he sees this ... )

ETA: OK and that only makes $40 ... I feel so much better now ...

I only go to movies with my wife so she can enjoy them. Being Deaf, since they don't have closed captions, the movies are a great place to enjoy a restful afternoon with my wife. Especially because we're not home.

Ahhhh ... the things we do in the name of love ... Really, I LIKE staying home. I'm not sure when the last time I left the house without Scott in tow ... Maybe a doctor's appt., but really, I'm my father's child ... I could not leave this house for months at a time as long as Scott and the critters were all good. I have a couple of older neighbors who NEVER leave their homes -- well, once or twice a month for groceries and I think MaryAnn goes to church sometimes and Dan goes to play cards on Mondays, but that's it ... Every month I try to emulate that ...
