If you're a believer, Isaiah 41:10 was a great verse for comfort for me:
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

My father goes in for surgery tomorrow, 1/2/13 @ 7:30am.
He needs all the prayers he can get. He is very weak from previous surgery, the cancer, severe anemia, and lack of nutrition (couldn't keep much down and low apetite). Between that and it being a dangerous surgery to begin with; the doctors have said this will be a very risky operation.
