I'm ready to take my office chair out to the field and smoke it with my 870. My back and butt can't take it any more!

So, I'm looking for some advice from my fellow OSA desk jockeys. What office chair do you find gives you good support without breaking the bank. Sure, I'd love to have a Herman Miller Aeron. Who wouldn't?

Surely, there are some decent designs out there in the $150-$250 range.

Thanks guys.

Honestly, I don't think you'll find anything in that price range. Also, another problem you may find is that you'll get a great looking chair, but the castors and springs are really weak.

I paid BIG bucks for my chair, but the improvement in my back is worth every penny.

I don't sit in a chair much, but Best Buy has 2 chairs that I sat in over by the computer section for about 30 minutes, were very comfortable.
One was $150 and I believe the other was $100. High back and good lower back support. Not sure about long term butt comfort.

Cue I have to agree. I had a Herman Miller Aeron when I worked at Winnercomm and it was the BEST chair I ever sat in. It's on my list to save up for one for home. I'd rather buy an Aeron then a lazy boy recliner.

Blue Baby, it might be worth saving up, because otherwise you will just spend the same $200 every two years to replace your chair when it wears out. Those Aerons can last a decade or more, plus they are repairable.

I'm not the OP, but I don't like the Aeron because it eats up slacks. Moving around on the mesh is like rubbing on sandpaper. IMO
Great chair otherwise.
I buy all the furniture for my small company 120ish people, so I've tried my share of chairs.

Look around for a used Herman Miller, I seem to remember seeing them go for 300ish. They really are worth it, you won't ever have to buy another chair.
