Relatively new gunsmith in the Lawton/Ft. sill area

I finally got a chance to stop by On Target Gunsmithing today. Have heard about it from work buddies, but I finally got off work early enough to have a little free time. The owner, Michael Wood, was a very knowledgeable & friendly guy. He spent about 10 minutes chatting with me & answering my questions. I need a trigger job on my carry 1911, & he didn't try to upsell me on any unnecessary parts, he actually made a couple suggestions that would save me a couple bucks. He was cool about letting me check out some of the guns he had in stock, and generally seemed pleased to talk shop with a potential customer. He brought out one of his personal guns so I could check the trigger to see if its what I wanted. I look forward to doing business at this shop.

I'll post a review once I've had the chance to have him work on my gun.

Btw, the shop is on Ft Sill blvd, about a mile out the base gate.

I've heard good things about him also.
Very meticulous work. Sometimes slow but better slow and right than fast and sloppy.

After reading some of the threads about the big shops in OKC, I'd take slow & quality work any day.

Anyone on here actually have had work done here?

What kind of guns did he have in stock?

Couple small caliber rifles, couple shotguns, a few pistols, mostly partial polymer at least.

It's a gunsmith that sells guns, not as much a gun store. He does order though.
