He snowed them into believing he is not just another lying politician that will do anything to get elected. As for lying, lets see, against pork but brings it home every chance he gets while claiming he never voted for it, lied about not being racist, etc, etc, etc.

What pork did he bring home? That would be disappointing.

What evidence exists that he's racist? That would be disappointing as well.

Why would we not want to elect the only candidate that has a voting record 100% compliant with the boundaries set forty by the Constitution??

So you're saying that his support for perpetual authorization for military action against individuals and entities unilaterally declared by the Executive Branch to be suspected of having links that directly or indirectly support the idea of terrorism is 100% compliant with the boundaries set forth by the Constitution?

So you're saying that his support of the Defense of Marriage Act, which codifies that same-sex unions/marriages/partnerships not be recognized on equal grounds as heterosexual unions/marriages/partnerships at the federal level, is 100% compliant with the boundaries set forth by the Constitution?

So you're saying that his support of neutralizing a part of the Constitution meant to ensure that private individuals would not be subject to redistribution of their property to those who a government entity determined would generate more tax revenue from that property is 100% compliant with the boundaries set forth by the Constitution?

So you're saying that his support of neutralizing a part of the Constitution meant to ensure that individuals' privacy would not be encroached upon within their own bedrooms is 100% compliant with the boundaries set forth by the Constitution?

I don't see a problem with voting against a bill that contains pork, but making sure to get your constituents' piece of the pork, too. Either way, the pork is already going to be spent.

Ron Paul Newsletters - allegedly ghostwritten by Lew Rockwell and never proofread by Ron Paul.

I find that "excuse" comparable to Obama's explanation of his close connections to Bill Ayers and Reverend Wright.

I find EVERY Republican candidate for President to be utterly unacceptable. The only one that even remotely has a different message is RP. Therefore he is the ONLY Republican candidate I'm currently willing to hold my nose and vote for. If any other Republican is on the general election ballot, I'll simply abstain from voting in the presidential race. I hope there are a lot of fed up Republicans who will do the same.

For those of you willing to sell your vote to the Newt Romney crowd, let me know how that works out for you! :(

I agree with a lot of what he says. But he's completely off the rail on foreign policy. He basically says that Iran will leave us alone if we leave them alone. That's utterly naive, he just doesn't get (most probably) or chooses to ignore (doubtful) that their religion commands them to kill us. It would be really nice to be able to do a lot of foreign policy things that he wants to do, but he's just got this unrealistic pie in the sky belief that is completely and utterly detached from reality. Deal breaker for me...

Just the same as voting for Ron Paul will.

Guys you can vote for whomever you want but do not be surprised when they can change nothing but the soundbites coming from the Whitehouse, and do not be butthurt when the majority of the country does not support whomever you choose. They are all just politicians and one person is not going to make much difference at all.

I saw someone whine recently that the Tea Party candidates had not made any real change in DC and almost fell out of my chair laughing. They have been in office less then a year and there are only a handful of them. It took decades to screw things up this bad and thousands of people to do the job. Heck it has taken the Democrats in congress and Obama almost 5 years just to make it worse, and that is with the Dems controlling both house for 4 years, the Senate for almost 5, and Obama in the WH for almost 3.

If there was somebody who lined up better with my views I suppose I would vote for him instead... but Ron Paul is the closest any presidential candidate has ever come to my own beliefs.

He is the only one with sane and realistic views on foreign policy. It amazes me how scared some people are of Iran... a country with a pathetic air force and navy, which doesn't even have the capability to land a missle, much less a single soldier, on our soil. I can only imagine how terrified you guys must have been during the Cold War, when we were at odds with a country that actually WAS capable of posing a threat to us. The idea that a country like Iran would actually WANT to start a war with us is ridiculous. They know that we would utterly destroy them if we turned our full military might on them.

FYI Pakistan already has nukes, and has for some time. They are an Islamic country with a lot more of a radical population than Iran... and yet they don't attack us. The hostility between Iran and us doesn't have near as much to do with Islam as it does with our history of intervention in that country. Do any of you happen to know how Iran went from being a constitutional republic and one of the most secular, westernized countries in the middle east to a dictatorship during the 1950s?

Ron Paul is also the only one who makes any sense when it comes to economic and monetary policy... he has been trying to warn us for years about the dangers of a bubble economy and of printing too much money, while everybody else was cheering about how great it is how so many Americans are buying homes and how great the stock market is doing. None of the other jokers running for the nomination predicted the crisis. Most of them were supporting the policies that led to it.

He is also definitely the most pro-gun candidate.

How many more reasons do you need?

The number 1 reason not to support Paul, we need someone that can defeat Obama. Right not Ron Paul draws half of his support from Democrats but the majority of them will vote Obama in the general election.
