If only 5,000 being built I doubt I get one.

I hope they keep this patteren of rifle in production I could care less about 50th anniversary. But that's just me.

Somehow, I suspect this may stay in production past the initial run, maybe sans the 50th anniversary accoutrements.

Anybody heard what the barrel length is on that SHOT show display model?

I hope they offer a compact version like they did with the RAR for this, too.

I guess I'll have to buy one of these too, to go with my Marlin 795 Appleseed Edition LTR!

Before this contest, Ruger was wary of making a factory LTR because the extra features would put it at the same price point as the M&P 15/22, which they didn't think a 10/22 LTR could compete with.

After seeing the prototype, I don't think those fears were well founded at all! I bet plenty of people would go for this over the 15/22.

Looks like the 5000 gun production cap just locked in the purchase of a Marlin 795LTR. I've been waiting on this gun to hit the market so this pretty much sucks but the Marlin is a great rifle.
