You can OC in Mass... it's just real hard to get a permit to do so.. and they dont recip with other states very well.

That's a start- and can be fixed, just like we fixed it here, in Michigan, Wisconsin ...etc. Illinois even got CCW close to a vote this year....

If Obama stays in expect more of the same... after all- Ron Paul wont win... Romney may be the only choice.

So does this mean that if you conceal carry, imprint its ok now?

That's what that means, And there is more!

you can OC on your private property without a permit
You can have gun uncovered in your car (remember today you must have the gun conclealed)
The word "concealed" is striken in the SDA as we currently use it.

Handguns only folks!

You can bring ammo along with your gun to your work parking lot

You must present a SDA card if challenged by LEO while in OC mode

He cannot disarm you unless your a suspect in a crime

No prememtion by local towns or counties

If I missed anyting please add... but that's the high points

So this means that if I am driving my car, I can remove the gun from its holster and lay it in the seat?

Wearing a seatbelt with a holster can be a real pain.

you could before...it just had to be out of sight. I lay a towel or newspaper over it now and then if it's out of the holster.

What happens if your in a wreck or hit the ditch? On body carry insures control of your firearm.

open question...how many of you folks with permits actually read the SDA? Not busting anybodies chops here... but I've been following this OC discussion for 3 years and there seems to be a real basic lack of understanding about what you can and cannot do already.

As far as seatbelts and holsters being a pain... try cross draw or a shoulder holster if your car bound that much. I carry and drive a lot- working with a seat belt is just part of the fun.

The idea of open carry. Runs counter to how I conduct myself in public. That is in Stealth Mode. I want no one to remember I was there. This has served me well in the last 14 years of
professional carry. I see no reason to change now.
