I suppose that few (liberal anti-gun) people understand that the 1994 AWB did not make assault rifles or high cap magazines illegal to own.
Deer hunters are a whole other problem. They carry high power sniper style rifles with loooooooong range scopes capable of killing innocent democrat victims from miles and miles away who have allready been victimized by the republican's voter ID laws. The ban on these will start after the awb is complete.Deer hunters? Where do they fit into this?
I'm not AKguy, but he agreed with my assessment. Not all, just a sizable percentage. Every multi-use gun club has a segment that are elitist a-holes that think what they do is OK, but what others do with their guns isn't. I'm not stereotyping when I say that numerous gun clubs across the nation have trouble with the "shotgunners" attempting to control how others use the non-shotgun ranges and what types of guns are allowed at the club. All you have to do is show up with a "tactical" shotgun at an organized skeet or sporting clays event to see it in action. Some of them have gone so far as to support legislation that restricts the ownership and use of firearms they deem undesirable.
I fully support the guns and activities that utilize their type of firearms. I think they're a quality use of one's time and money. I think introducing others and youth to these activities and guns has a positive benefit for the individuals and their communities.
I simply wish they'd have enough respect for my rights to do likewise.

Jerry, I don't want to cause a problem, but I have seen very little of this.
For the Record, I'm VP of the Ponca Range.
The only place I've seen anything is at the OKC Gun Club, where the USPSA shooters use the SAAS bays at times.
The only problem SAAS has is that all of the stages have to be removed and out of site. (really liked seeing their period clothing)
My main issue is with the statement that hunters are opiniated about what weapon they use. A recent post in the OSA hunting forum challenged me to to take a different deer with a different gun this season. As I took 13 legal deer last year,(ODW DMAP) I agreed to do it for a lark.
I think the whole issue was out of context, grouping hunters and clay bird shooters as being against the OSA way of thinking.
For the record, that is bullcrap.
I'm sure in your area that may be the case, but overall in the hunting community that I spend a lot of time in, that was a false statement.
Recent polls have indicated hunters are gravitating more and more to the AR platform, as they are just as accurate as their beloved bolt guns.
For the record again, I've taken deer with the same pistols that I shoot USPSA matches with.
I shot skeet, and trap for 15 years before coming into the pistol arena. Not once did I hear about elitism. Well, I'll take that back. One guy bragged on his new kreigoff as being the boss.
I spanked him in the next round with a Rem 1100 trap, and that was the end of that discussion.
