Hey All,

My wife and I are already starting to sloooowly gear up for our annual Vegas vacation.

We think we've narrowed down the room, a few weeks, steakhouses, and a few shows.

My question is: Has anyone rented a sports car(Corvette/Camaro) from the car rental dealerships? You know.... Avis, Budget, Hertz....etc. If so, how was it? Any tips on this transaction and rental dealership?? Any to stay away from???

I know,I know, I need to call way ahead and see what they have or can get.

I'm doing this two-fold. 1. My wife and I are driving to Vegas this time, taking a jog up to Santa Fe, then up to my old stomping grounds Cortez & Telluride Co. 2. I'd like the wife to drive one of these sports cars, it makes it so MUCH EASIER to buy one if the wife has been involved and likes it also!!!!

So, any help on an OKC/Edmond/Norman car rental dealership YOU'VE done business with.

Thanks!!

A couple years ago I rented my wife a mustang for a week for her birthday. I called all the rental places and none of them would guarantee a specific model. They couldn't even guarantee a sports car of any kind. Said I might wind up with an econo-box. A lady at one of them was kind enough to suggest trying a local car dealership. Called a ford dealership in okc and they said no problem. Can't remember the name, but it looks like you want GM anyway.

Good luck to you. And please post how it goes. I wouldn't mind renting a vette for a few days.

If a thing like this is worth doing at all, it’s worth doing right. We’ll need some decent equipment and plenty of cash on the line, if only for drugs and a super sensitive tape recorder, for the sake of a permanent record

This blows my weekend, because naturally I’ll have to go with you, and we’ll have to arm ourselves.
