I've checked my chair carefully and there are no tags that could be causing this. I've talked to some other friends who use a Tilite chair and they have experienced the same thing. Tilite thinks it might be something in the metal or in the products used to put the seat on. Its just strange. It happens a Lowes, Target, Academy, Bass Pro, etc. Very seldom do I get through without meeting some of the management. Though I've gotten to know many of the managers and they seem to be good people. 2 or 3 have even joined me going shooting.

Man ... that's a bummer ... I say keep on rolling ... I NEVER stop ... No eye contact, don't slow my pace, NUTHIN'!! Of course, you are a nicer person than me ... ;)

The last straw for me?? I was at Wal-Mart a few years ago and a "greeter" watched me check out, gather up my stuff, put my receipt in my purse and then tried to stop me because he was "supposed to read every receipt going out the door" ... Yeah, right ... Well, he called security and I told them to call OKCPD if they wanted but I was going to my car. Damned security guard followed me out to the car, making a scene and stood behind my car so I couldn't back out. Funny thing was the parking slot in front of me was empty so I just pulled through ... ROFLMAO! You should have seen the look on the dullards face ... :D

I kept waiting for OKCPD to show up at the house (or GC to call me from work wanting to know why they were running MY tag number) but apparently he didn't think to get my tag as I pulled away. That, or else, somebody with some sense asked him and Mr. IGottaReadYourReceipt WTF their problem was ...

Anyway, now I just don't give them the chance to engage me ... I'm tired of being treated like a criminal just for the "privilege" of shopping at Wal-Mart ... They can bite my ass ... And, yeah, until one of us wins the lottery or Bill Gates adopts me, I'm going where the best prices are ...

Opps ... sorry ... yeah, a bit of a sore spot! :D

I've seen shoplifters defeat the older systems with foil lined shopping bags, (i worked LP for 10 years) but I've heard the newer systems will not be effected by foil. Maybe wrap your chair in foil....j/k. Hope you get it worked out somehow.

Do what I do...Just keep walking (rolling in your case I suppose). I have done nothing wrong and I pay for everything. I have had them "chase" me to the parking lot and tell me I CAN'T leave until they check my bags. I tell them write down the tag number and call the police but if you put your hands on me I WILL respond in kind.

That thing really pisses me off.

Ditto to this.

I thought most stores forbade employees from chasing anyone out the door.

Sorry Stan, that sounds like a pain. A few years ago, the chip in my wallet came back to life. I had the wallet for years and all of the sudden it was sounding alarms. It was a little funny, but annoyed my wife because I was the guy that kept walking.

This is what I do, as well. EXCEPT...about two years ago, the greeter was an elderly woman and she almost cried. I heard my dad roll over in his grave, because I'd upset an elderly woman and was bringing her to tears. I felt so bad, I went back inside so she could look at my loot. That was my last moment of weakness.

No eye contact! Keep moving forward!

Stan I understand how you feel. I have titanium screws in my back. If I turn just right as I walk thru the damn thing goes off. Not every time but enough that it is annoying.
