I've still got the first gun I ever bought at Southwest Shooters..A Rem. 700 varminter BDL that was a total of 134.00. It's been a while..Now talking about Outdoor America. I've done business in there only once and spent a little over 1000 dollars. A few days later no one would even make eye contact with me..Shouldn't have to go in a place and look for a salesman that is over 45 or younger than 45 or wonder where the damn manager is. Too many other places will take my money and be friendly at the same time. They can close down tomorrow and it wouldn't bother me one bit.......

I went to OA the Saturday after Thanksgiving wanting to buy 2 pistols, one being a 10mm Glock. My wife asked why I thought I needed another Glock. Having recently got her interested into guns, putting her through the CCW class in August and buying her first pistol at the H&H Expo, I took her over to the ammo counter to show her a 10mm round. When I asked the gun if we could see what a 10mm round looked like, he began to tell me what is was, how it compared to a .40 & .45, etc. My wife just walked off. I KNOW what it is. I'm trying to buy one. Just let me show my wife the bullet!!!!!! And they weren't busy. I sure wasn't wasting anyone's time. So we just left without buying either pistol.

I'll be the exception here. Was in there a couple weeks ago when my stepson emailed from Afganistan asking me to meet his gf so she could pick up her blueline glock. A VERY friendly older guy (Ken?) was helping her and I asked another salesman if they had an XDm 5.25 in stock, well he about fell over the counter to help saying "I think we just got one in". They made 2 sales that day.

It's been a few years but the last time I was in there I wanted to purchase a Glock. I was the only customer and two older guys were working behind the counter and neither acknowledged me. I asked about the Glock and one pointed to a case but never offered to help. They then continued their conversation about where they were going to try to get a new job. I left and purchased elsewhere. I'm actually really surprised they're still open.
